Javier Loya

Javier Loya is a Houston business man and entrepreneur who utilizes innovative concepts to create outstanding companies. He is a co-founder of OTC Global Holdings, the largest independent energy brokerage in the world. Today, he serves as chairman and CEO of the company. Loya started out with the vision of pooling the resources of the leading independent energy brokers.

This business model has been highly successful and allows the independent brokers to retain their identity, brand and status while sharing technology and financial resources. OTCGH has been able to provide energy resources while reducing costs for brokers. OTCGH has been named to Houston Chronicle’s “Chron 100” list many times, which recognizes outstanding companies in the Houston area.

Loyaplayed football at Columbia University while in college there as both a defensive end and linebacker. His love for football has never waned andhe is now a minority owner of the Houston Texans football team. Loya has received numerous awards throughout the years including the “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2002 from the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was also honored to be named “Hispanic Businessman of the Year” in 2004 by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

In 2019, Loya and several other Houston entrepreneurs launched a brand of tequila called Veneno Tequila.Hegrew up in El Paso, Texas and was greatly influenced by the work ethic of his parents and siblings. He has served on the Board of Regents for Texas Southern University. He is married to Lucinda Vincent-Loya and they have two wonderful daughters.
